UPDATE: Registered Paralegals-Your chance to shape the future

You have the opportunity to shape the future of Paralegals in Scotland

As many of you will know, the Scottish Paralegal Association and the Law Society of Scotland are working closely together to create a new 'Registered Paralegals' status. This is an incredibly important and exciting development for the Paralegal profession.

Neil Stevenson, Head of Stategic Change at the Law Society of Scotland, detailed the proposals at the SPA Annual Lunch, Conference & AGM. The Members present voted unanimously in favour of regulation/registration for paralegals.

The public discussion and consultation phase has begun. This will have a major impact on all Paralegals working in Scotland-the SPA urges you to take the time to read and respond to the policy document, and also to draw this to the attention of other paralegals that you know.
