Executry Paralegal (Maternity Cover with potential to extend

Liddle & Anderson LLP is a long-established, client-focused law firm based at the heart of the local community. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Executry Paralegal.

About You

You will ideally have several years’ experience administering executries. Exceptional attention to detail and strong numeracy skills are essential to the role. You will be a self-motivator, capable of hitting the ground running, and someone who is able to work independently, managing your own caseload, including relevant aspects of a tax paying estate, with solicitor supervision. You will have excellent client care skills and be a confident communicator. A STEP, SOLAS, or equivalent paralegal qualification is essential.

This is a full-time maternity cover role with days/hours to be agreed.  The position carries scope to continue beyond the maternity cover period. Hybrid/working from home will be considered.

Licensing Paralegal

Miller Samuel Hill Brown has a vacancy for an Administrator or Paralegal in their Licensing Team. The postholder will be required to process and lodge licensing applications, advise clients on routine matters, and handle a large and varied workload. The role is suited to someone with either Private Practice or Local Authority experience, but this is not essential. The firm operates an agile working policy and supports remote working, so being West Coast-based is not essential. Full or part-time hours will be considered. The team at Hill Brown Licensing provides specialist advice to the licensed trade across Scotland, including pubs, restaurants, nightclubs, event venues, and supermarket chains.

We’re looking for a RESIDENTIAL CONVEYANCING PARALEGAL to work with our property team in our Glasgow office. You’ll be a confident communicator who can work well with colleagues and meet client expectations. You’ll be a hard worker who isn’t precious about helping out with whatever tasks are required.  You will be supported by experienced solicitors and other paralegals in the team.

The Role

Working in our dynamic property team, you will manage residential property transactions from initial instruction to completion, including purchases, sales and security work. You’ll work closely with clients, providing expert advice and ensuring the smooth completion of transactions. There may also be opportunities to work with our commercial property team if the successful candidate wished.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of residential property transactions with minimum supervision, including purchases, sales, new builds, re-mortgages, and title transfers.
  • Draft and review contracts, leases, and legal documents.
  • Provide tailored legal advice to clients.
  • Conduct property searches and due diligence.
  • Liaise with clients, lenders, and other professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Private Client Paralegal

Based in the heart of Scotland, we are seeking a Private Client Paralegal who will work alongside the

Private Client Team and be involved in a broad range of transactions dealing with wills, trust and

executries.

The successful candidate must have experience in a similar role, experience of case management

systems and strong knowledge of MS Office.

Key skills/responsibilities

Taking instructions and drafting wills and powers of attorney

The ability to administer executry estates and trusts, drafting confirmation and IHT forms,

executry accounts and general financial administration.

Manage a high quality caseload from taking clients’ instructions to distribution of the estate

The role will involve accurately preparing and drafting documents

The ability to follow a disciplined schedule to ensure all accounting and tax compliance

deadlines are met

All under the supervision of senior solicitors in the team.

Personal specifications

Must hold a Specialist Paralegal qualification in Wills, Trusts and Executries

2 Years experience previous experience working within Private Client department within a

Scottish legal Firm is essential for this role

Keeping up-to-date with developments in the law and tax regulations

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the team and clients

An enthusiastic approach and the ability to effectively manage time to complete tasks.

As well as having several years’ experience as an executry paralegal and being a technical

expert in the field the ideal candidate must be committed to providing an excellent level of

service to clients
